Very often, you search the internet for information about lichen sclerosus and what you find is quite frightening. Always the saddest stories about LS are the ones that get published. The truth is that there are a lot of hopefull success stories about LS, NLSSG would like to share with you the story of one young women's success in living with this condition. In 2006 Channel 5 TV told Dunya's story. She had been feeling hopeless for a number of years. Then life changed and several things happened to Dunya. She found this group and also the services of an excellent dermatologist at her local hospital. Then she attended a workshop that was organised by the VPS, (where I first met her). A local holistic therapist was also at the workshop and agreed to take Dunya's case on free of charge. As a result of the contacts she made her life changed dramatically and her sex life is back on track. Earlier this year a local health magazine printed Dunya's story and NLSSG is grateful to Vitality Matters for allowing the item to be published on this site. The article is copyright and therefore all permissions to reproduce this article on other websites or media entities must be by permission of Vitality Matters. NLSSG also thanks the author of the article, Jacqui Hickmore for her permission to use the article on this site. Jacqui has asked us to point out that there is an error in the article and that 'hyperactive thyroid' should be 'hypoactive'. Click here to read Dunya's story. Fabia Brackenbury
